Ashtanga Yoga teacher Maria Villella talks about a visit to an ashram in India where she witnesses a powerful healing experience.

Maria VillellaLike many Ashtanga Yoga teachers and students, Maria has made the ‘pilgrimage’ to study and practice with Guruji, Saraswati and Sharath Rangaswamy at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore India.

During the same trip Maria visited Goa, Chennai, Auroville and Tiruvannamalai. In Chennai, she attended classes at the Krishnamacharya Mandiram and also a lecture with TKV Desikachar.

This story took place In Tiruvannamalai, where the famous jnani Ramana Maharshi (December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950) lived most of his life.
